Redo

Izumi
Yuki

Momo

The girls have had their make-over and are here at last! Much larger than the previous version (now 24cm high) and on the gorgeous natural organic cotton/hemp. A BIG THANKS to Ellen for naming the girls for me.

cushions

I've been enjoying the light and sewing a few cushion covers in the studio. It's all part of the prep for The Finders Keepers market next weekend. If you are coming... please note the change of venue!
Coincidentally, my son is learning how to sew a cushion cover in his Year 8 DT class. I'm resisting the urge to march up to his school and show the teacher how it's done. He came home with the seam allowance (a massive 2cm!) drawn around the edges of the cushion using road chalk. Go figure.

the studio

Since October last year, there has been a lot of hard work going on at my place. My Dad naively agreed to help me build a studio. My neighbour, Barry, designed the building. Dad and I (and a small army of volunteers) set about building it. It's finished! And on Saturday we threw a little opening party. Thanks to all my friends and family. You made it an awesome day.
For 12 years I have worked on my very small dining table... I feel like the luckiest person in the world now that I have my own space!

The past two weeks I have taught a patchwork throw class at Free Range Living. Here are a few photos of the first class I ran with Deni (shop owner) and Gin (very pregnant and world's best gluten free/vegan cupcake maker).
