A little while back Sarah posted me some Liberty fabric to make this top for the shop. Here's the pics! I have to admit to never sewing with Liberty fabrics before. It's so soft and smooth. I recently visited the store in London and was so overwhelmed with choice I didn't buy any fabric for myself. Well, in my defense I had hoped to return without a child (my eldest boy) in tow. But sadly the other child (youngest) got ill and all my shopping plans were thrown out the window.

eva & kit
This print has been on the to-do-list for ever. Both my Grandmother (Eva) and my Nan (Kit) were very clever and crafty ladies that loved a little crochet. I'm sure they both had a go at teaching me their skills, but it wasn't until last year that I finally got the hang of a good crochet square.
Basically this design was created for wall stickers you can get here. And then became a brooch you can get here.
So 'Eva & Kit crochet squares' fabric will go to the printer this week. To be printed on the ethically produced hemp/organic cream cotton that is super soft and my new favourite. I haven't decided on colours yet, just playing around.

powerhouse
There was lots of knitting and weaving at the powerhouse discovery centre today. I even talked Mum into having a go at the giant knitting needles. I couldn't stop laughing, she could barely hold them up.

hello
Just back from a month in the UK and now it's time to settle back into normal life.
First up the kind people at the powerhouse discovery centre (castle hill, nsw) have offered 4 free family tickets to their Open Day on this Saturday 13th August. So if you want to come, the first 4 people to leave a comment and their full name will have their name on the door for free entry. Please note this event is in Sydney, Australia.
