There was lots of knitting and weaving at the powerhouse discovery centre today. I even talked Mum into having a go at the giant knitting needles. I couldn't stop laughing, she could barely hold them up.

Just back from a month in the UK and now it's time to settle back into normal life. 
First up the kind people at the powerhouse discovery centre (castle hill, nsw) have offered 4 free family tickets to their Open Day on this Saturday 13th August. Fabric #1 (on the pile of sewing to do) is now dress J from the 'Stylish Dress Book' with modifications of course (I am by no means as petite as the Japanese models in the book).

New fabrics bought today. They might bcome tunics or maybe even this dress.

New merino wool bought at the Daylesford Maker Market on the weekend.

Cotton bought today. Hopefully it will be as beautiful as Kate's shawl.

What a fantastic weekend! I'm sooo thankful to Merrilyn for asking me to be a part of the Daylesford Craft Experience and to Jodie for talking me into doing it. And it was great to meet Melly and hang out with all the crafty girls for the weekend.
