My goal was to make a baby quilt using only fabrics and trims that I had at home. I pulled together some red, chocolate & blue handprinted fabrics, but was most excited when I found 6 metres of spotted red bias tape bought recently at a craft show! I don't usually buy things without a purpose, but I knew this tape had my name all over it.
This quilt will go to a newborn baby boy tomorrow (if his Mum makes it to church, otherwise I'll have to make a special visit).

the dress
I can't stop making this pattern. This is my fourth version. Longer this time, perfect with footless tights and a cardi. I'm pretty sure this will become my uniform for winter (when I'm not in jeans).
Dress: very modified version of dress J from Japanese "Stylish Dress Book", sand-washed indigo linen/viscose.
Brooch: Finders Keepers.

set up
I did a run through of set up for The Finders Keepers market with my Dad today. He's doing set up and pack up and a little bit of sales at the end of Saturday (thanks Dad!). It's a bit odd being ready for a market 4 days early. I'm usually a last minute kinda girl.

the plug
This weekend was full of doll making (and a lovely bush walk with friends).
I also picked up a bunch of Perle 8 thread to sell with my Matryoshka kits at the Stitches and Craft show next week.
