the challenge

My goal was to make a baby quilt using only fabrics and trims that I had at home. I pulled together some red, chocolate & blue handprinted fabrics, but was most excited when I found 6 metres of spotted red bias tape bought recently at a craft show! I don't usually buy things without a purpose, but I knew this tape had my name all over it.
This quilt will go to a newborn baby boy tomorrow (if his Mum makes it to church, otherwise I'll have to make a special visit).

It looks great! Things like that are the best baby presents - they have so many different functions over a lifetime. I'm sure mum and baby will be very pleased!
